Where can I find the Renault precode?

It is usually printed on the radio label near SECURITY or PRECODE markings. Look for a short identifier similar to A123. Do not use a part number or a long serial number when a separate precode is present.

Why identify the radio first?

Renault vehicles use many different radio units. The same car model may contain a different radio and require a different recovery method. We identify the marking first and only then use the appropriate decoder.

What if my radio has no such precode?

We do not guess radio codes. If the radio does not match a supported method, the decoder will say so. More radio families and recovery methods will be added as the database grows.
